OPEN POSITIONS

Pediatric People is seeking a friendly, dependable Administrative/Front Desk professional to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced pediatric medical office. This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming experience for our patients and families while supporting the day-to-day operations of the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments and effectively manage front-desk flow.
  • Greet patients and families and provide a warm, welcoming experience.
  • Facilitate patient check-in and check-out.
  • Accurately enter and maintain patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
  • Collect patient payments and communicate financial responsibilities clearly and professionally.
  • Answer phones, respond to patient questions, and assist with patient needs.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
  • Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of patient information.
  • Support general office and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year of administrative or front-office experience required; medical office experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computer systems.

Schedule
This is a full-time position. Candidates must be available to:

  • Work 4 days per week (Monday-Friday: 8am-6pm).
  • Work up to two weekends per month (Saturday: 9am-1pm; Sunday: 2-5pm).
  • Participate in a rotating holiday schedule.

Compensation
Starting at $18/hour, commensurate with experience.

Pediatric People is seeking a friendly, dependable Medical Assistant (back office) to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable providing hands-on pediatric patient care in a fast-paced medical office. Strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to multitask are essential.

*This is not an administrative/front desk position.*

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough patient triage by asking appropriate questions to accurately assess patient needs.
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs.
  • Administer immunizations.
  • Perform finger-stick and heel-stick blood draws.
  • Start IVs.
  • Perform catheterization.
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Provide hands-on clinical care and support to pediatric patients.
  • Accurately document patient information in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Provide patient and family support throughout the visit.
  • Perform other clinical and patient-care duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant experience required; pediatric experience preferred.

Pediatric People is seeking a compassionate, experienced part-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing pediatric team. The ideal candidate is a confident clinician with excellent communication skills who is passionate about providing high-quality, family-centered care to infants, children, and adolescents.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, physical examinations, and medical evaluations.
  • Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and injuries.
  • Provide preventive care, including well-child visits and routine health maintenance.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic studies.
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans based on evidence-based practice.
  • Educate and counsel patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
  • Accurately document patient encounters and maintain medical records using the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

  • Current Texas licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Pediatric, primary, or urgent care experience preferred; 2+ years pediatric experience strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and medical management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and staff.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Schedule
This is a part-time position. Candidates must be available to:

    • Work 2–3 days per week (Monday-Friday: 8am-6pm).
    • Work up to one weekend per month (Saturday: 9am-1pm; Sunday: 2-5pm).
    • Participate in a rotating holiday schedule.

Compensation
$65-85 / hour, commensurate with experience.
