Your insurance covers an annual wellness visit, which INCLUDES:
- Physical exam
- Growth assessment
- Immunizations
- Lifestyle, nutrition, and developmental counseling
NOT INCLUDED:
Chronic conditions, rash, reflux, allergies, fever, asthma, behavioral care, medication refills, ear pain, headache, cough, stomach pain, sore throat, some preventive tests, some screenings, etc.
IMPORTANT:
If any additional concern is found during the visit, whether raised by the parent or discovered by the physician, that requires diagnosis, evaluation, or treatment, an additional charge may apply (copay, deductible, or coinsurance).
When this happens, you may choose to:
- Proceed with both the wellness visit and the concern being addressed (with potential charges), OR
- Reschedule the wellness visit and focus only on the concern today
